Ha Noi Night Street Food Tour (For families with grown children)
Meet at hotel and start a combined walking tour of street food safari and cultural exploration. The tour begins around 16h at Hoan Kiem Lake with a visit to Ngoc Son Temple where your guide will explain about the legend of the lake.
Start your street food safari in the Old Quarter, with first stop to taste local food. Your guide will bring you to try some Vietnamese green hot tea at a simple tea stand on the sidewalk.
During the course of walking, you may encounter some street vendors selling exotic fruits carried by bamboo basket and balance, the guide will bridge the conversation and help you to choose and taste some. Before settle down for “beer time”, you will have a cultural surprise at Bach Ma Temple, one of the 4 most important temples in Hanoi. Finish you mixed walking tour around one of the most exciting area in Hanoi, the intersection between Ta Hien and Luong Ngoc Quyen streets, so-called “international crossroad”. This is a place where you can see a lot of locals, tourists and travelers gathering, chatting and having a glass of “Bia hoi” local beer with some snacks, noisy, chaotic but exciting and funny.
Return to hotel around 7pm, end of service or stay longer as your own wish.

DAY 02          HANOI – CITY TOUR – VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITY                        [B/L/-]

First discovery of Ha Noi – the capital of the Viet Nam, located in northern region of Vietnam, situated in the Vietnam’s Red River delta, nearly 90 km away from the coastal area
Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his former residence, One Pillar Pagoda, and Temple of Literature – the first university in Ha Noi Vietnam
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon drive to visit Hoa Binh (Peace) Village, about 10km from city center (30mn). The village is a specialist school and medical centre providing relief to the child victims of Agent Orange, Dioxin poisoning and other mental and physical disabilities. Now this Village provides a home for over 130 children from 2 to 23 years old.
You will spend time talking with them, organizing some games or some hands-on lesson to make some craft. This will help them feel more confidence and gradually getting closer to a normal life. You can bring clothes, craft supplies such as paper, books, paints, crayons, toys – balls…
This volunteering experience will be an unforgettable memory for your kids.
In the evening, drop off at the Thang Long theatre for Water Puppet Show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. This art originates from rural festivals in Vietnam. The artists-men and women-stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk and laugh and even dance on the surface of the water.

DAY 03          HANOI – HA LONG BAY                                                                         [B/L/D]

Pick up at your hotel and transfer 160 km east to Ha Long (approx. 4 – hour driving).
Upon arrival in Ha Long Bay, board your boat for an unforgettable cruise.
Welcome seafood lunch on board.
Cruise in Ha Long bay visiting some islands and caves. Possibility of kayaking (optional) around some nice beaches.
Late afternoon, admire the sunset over the bay, enjoy happy hour on the bar deck or attend a cooking demonstration.
Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 04          HALONG – HANOI Q HUE                                                          [B/Brunch/-]

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on sundeck.
After have breakfast, continue cruising the bay, visiting some other highlights.
Have a brunch before disembarkation.
Return to Ha Long wharf, disembark and transfer back to Hanoi.
Transfer to the airport for flight to Hue.
Arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel.

DAY 05          HUE                                                                                                               [B/L/-]

Breakfast at hotel.
Take a boat cruise along the romantic Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue.
Visit the splendid Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 to 1945 – Royal Palace of 13 Kings of Nguyen Dynasty with Ngo Mon Gate (The Noon Gate), Thai Hoa Palace, The Purple Forbidden City, The Mieu (Dynastic Temple), Hien Lam Pavilion (Pavilion of Splendor), The Nine Dynastic Urns, then stop at Duyet Thi Duong to enjoy the Hue “Ceremonial Court” music show – which is recognized as World Immaterial Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

In the afternoon, visit the elaborate mausoleum of emperor Tu Duc, this tomb constructed between 1864 and 1867, is the most popular and impressive of the royal mausoleums. Emperor Tu Duc designed it himself to use before and after his death.
Continue to visit tomb of Khai Dinh, It was built from 1920 to 1931 taking 11 years to complete. The tomb is a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. It is located on a steep hill outside of the capital city of Hue.
Visit the conical hat and an incense stick-making village and then walk on Dong Ba central market, with the guide, you and your kids will discover a lot of things different from your home and the social interaction with local vendors is one of the highlight.
 Make a traditional kite and fly with local artisan
Take a short excursion to a kite maker whose family has been practicing this skill for generations. Under his guidance, create a beautiful kite using the pre-prepared bamboo framework. If weather permits, you will have the opportunity to fly your kite at Ngo Mon Square, in front of the South Gate of the Citadel.

DAY 06          HUE –TAM GIANG LAGOON – HOI AN                                               [B/L/-]

In the morning, leave the Citadel and the elegant lifestyle of the Imperial Hue behind and head out to discover the fishermen’s life in the Tam Giang lagoon, the biggest lagoon system in Southeast Asia. Stop by a bamboo weaving cooperative where skilful artisans are willing to present their know-how with their products and initiate you in a hands-on experience. Continue to the fishermen’s village, where the local community is eager to show you around the village recently established on solid land after many generations floated their lives on boats. Keep your appetite up for the lunch full of local flavors until going back cycling leisurely through peaceful vegetable fields.
On the way you may want to make a stop and give a hand to farmers toiling out in the fields.
Have lunch on spot.
Afternoon is all about appreciating the way of living of the lagoon. Dip your feet in water to collect clams or ride a boat across the lagoon whilst trying to catch some fish employing traditional techniques. The final stage pays respects to the popular belief surrounding fishermen’s universe that concerns the supreme spirit, ancestors and life after death reflected in the incredibly majestic complex of tombs and temples along the wild beach. Keep wandering and wondering in this impacting “world of the dead” as long as you want or visit a fish sauce producer before driving to Hoi An along the seaside road.
Drive to Hoi An across the Hai Van Pass, literally means “cloud and sea” pass. Stop on the summit, and admire the beautiful scenery and stunning landscape of Central Vietnam.

DAY 07          HOI AN – COOKING CLASS – CITY TOUR                                          [B/L/-]

Visit Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
Continue to the cooking school with the chef. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – each dish is first demonstrated by the chef, before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration).
After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked.
Afternoon walking tour of Hoi An, discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit Hoi An colorful local market, Tan Ky old house, Fukien Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. Travelers can also see local residents raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi An’s burgeoning textile industry.

DAY 08          HOI AN – DA NANG Q HO CHI MINH CITY                                        [B/L/-]

Learn more about the Vietnam War with a visit to the Reunification Palace
Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office to view the French colonial architecture and Ben Thanh market – the biggest market and symbol of Saigon..

In the afternoon, visit to Cho Lon (China town) where we see the Binh Tay wholesale market and Thien Hau pagoda.
Evening, A O cultural and nouveau cirque show
A O SHOW offers something new and completely different. An interesting mix of old and new. It is a unique and immensely enjoyable experience fusing dance, acrobatics, theatre, Cirque du Soleil and musical forms in a vibrant and light-hearted series of scenes that track Vietnam’s transition from rural life to urbanization.  The show lasts just over an hour, but during that time the performers will amaze you with a variety of feats.  You’re never quite sure what’s going to happen next.  The show will leave you in awe of what you’re seeing.  It’s suitable for all ages and great family entertainment.

DAY 09          HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH                        [B/L/D]

Depart for Ben Tre, a peaceful retreat in Mekong Delta offers many charming surprises besides the lush vegetation, snaking canals, and enchanting smiles.
Enjoy seeing how bricks and grass mats are made with age old traditional techniques as well as how products are extracted from coco etc. Admire stunning panoramic countryside pictures made of green coconut palms, yellow river streams and colorful local products. Be warmed by the tropical breeze or feel the currents of the cool river water whilst exploring the earthy trails. Taste and smell local exotic fruits, “garden-made” cuisine or stop to observe and satisfy your palate with a just-made wet rice paper, or coco candies married with green tea. Complete your experience while hearing the sounds of boat, tricycle-motor engine, and certainly the chatting and laughing of local people, modest yet hospitable.
                         
Evening Vespa Tour Sai gon After Dark (4 hours)

(suitable for family with grown children):    
Part night excursion, part street food adventure. VVA pick up guests at hotel and first stop is to Café zoom to “watch the world goes by” (quoted by The Lonely Planet) and enjoy cocktail and appetizer (inclusive) before adventuring into favorite local eating spot. Guests experience the nightlife of Saigon the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter. Stops include dinner and drinks at Saigon’s best authentic street food, and a Vietnamese-style coffee shop. The tour heads to District 4 through back alleys for street food and cold drinks, places that foreigner won’t be found. Leaving district 4 to district 3 the tour pass through downtown district 1 to take in the sights on the way to Banh Xeo, specialty of Saigon, and southern food with the locals. Guests ride pillion behind our drivers.

DAY 10          HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS – DEPARTURE                           [B/L/-]

Cu Chi is not only a peaceful countryside but also an iconic and heroic land. Its system of underground tunnels is the best proof of local people’s resilience and intelligence that helped to win so many combats.
You will drive 70 km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City passing through picturesque rice fields, gardens, rubber plantations. Upon arrival in Cu Chi and after a short introduction to the tunnel network of more than 200km, you will have a chance to crawl into a short section of the tunnels to feel the oppressive narrowness and heat inside. Documentaries and displays of bloody traps will give you a vivid idea of the life and struggle in the tunnels.

Continue to the nearby Wild Life At Risk center where wild animal are rescued from danger of illegal traffic and abuse, they are well taken care by the center team and may be released to wild depending on capability. This is not a real zoo but a typical awareness raising center where your kids will know about the wild life in this area, the threats to them and how the conservation works are so important.
Back to Ho Chi Minh city.
